West Coast chain Bay Padel just opened four outdoor padel courts and seven outdoor pickleball courts in San Francisco’s Dogpatch neighborhood. The new courts expand a facility that already features two indoor padel courts, a full-size gym, open-gym access, and coach-led HIIT, strength, and recovery classes. Players can also take advantage of locker rooms & showers, a gear boutique, and a snack bar & lounge. To celebrate the opening, Bay Padel hosted a community event featuring pilates, wellness experiences, food, drinks, giveaways, and local brand partners.

Meanwhile, in Salt Lake City, UT, SLC Padel Club and Conquer Padel Club teamed up to co-host the Utah Open, a first-of-its-kind USA Padel tournament spanning two independently operated clubs. The 250-level event drew nearly 90 players, bringing together communities from facilities ~45 minutes apart. From my POV, it’s super cool to see US operators finding ways to work together rather than solely compete for players.
