🏆 Tournament Roundup 🌴 Comeback Thriller + World Domination and Chill (🇰🇼)
This past weekend, the Rafa Nadal Academy Kuwait hosted its first-ever Premier Padel P1. The BNK Arena was packed with 4,700 fans, buzzing for finals that were as dramatic as they were defining.
On the men’s side, Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto (Chingalán) pulled off a comeback that deserves its own documentary. After getting steamrolled 6–2 in the first set by Coello and Tapia, the Spaniard–Argentine duo flipped the script, taking the next two 7–5, 6–2. Que pasó? Seven missed break points from Coello/Tapia and an off-court recovery shot from Chingotto that had the crowd losing it. The win shrinks the gap to world No. 1 to just 680 points, meaning the race to the Barcelona Finals is now re picante. 🔥
On the women’s side, Ari Sánchez and Paula Josemaría proved why they’re the queens of padel’s mental game. The top-two seeds faced off again, but this time Ari and Paula made it look easy, with a clean 6–3, 6–3 over Triay and Brea for their third straight title and a monster 2,000 ranking points. With only 1,510 points separating the top pairs and 3,000 still up for grabs in Dubai and Mexico, the women’s race is shaping up to be just as tight as the men’s. 👀

🌍 International Padel Scene ✈ Padel Goes East (🌏)
Padel is officially packing its bags for the Asian Games. The International Padel Federation just got the green light from the Olympic Council of Asia, marking another giant leap for the sport after appearances in the European Games 2023, South American Games 2022, and the upcoming Mediterranean Games 2026.
Asia’s padel scene has been quietly (but not really) blowing up… over 4,600 courts across 30+ countries, and tournaments like the FIP World Cup in Doha and Kuwait City keeping the courts buzzing. 🐝 The formation of Padel Asia has also given further structure to the chaos.
With nearly 100 national federations now under FIP’s umbrella and 35 million players worldwide, this clearly ain’t another ~trend~.
🤷♂ Kazakhstan Wants to Be Known for Padel, Not Borat (🇰🇿)
And who could blame them? President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with FIP President Luigi Carraro and Premier Padel chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi to chat growth, and the country’s numbers are already looking solid: 1,500+ players across 16 regions.
The country’s biggest flex is the new ADD Padel Arena in Almaty, opening in 2027, which will feature 10 international-standard courts and could host Premier Padel-level tournaments. Great success!
